A Forgotten Corner/

A forgotten corner of a life that was.
Who were you?
I look through your monochrome window and feel your colour.
Here, now, the room is dryly still.
Dustily asleep.
Today you rest in another place
With 100 memories left behind.
Myriad vernacular pointers to your time.
I watch the light move through the room
Shadows creeping across the walls.
You probably saw those same shapes didn’t you?
Before the clearness went.
